EarthCam and the Lake Norman Wildlife Conservationists are proud to bring you a live streaming, bird’s eye view, of an osprey nest located on Lake Norman in Mooresville, NC. This nesting platform, located in the shallow water surrounding a small wooded island, is one of over seven-dozen platforms constructed by the organization over the past decade through grants from the Catawba-Wateree Habitat Enhancement Program. LNWC is a community based organization established for the purpose of environmental education, appreciation of wildlife and natural history, and conservation of wildlife habitat and natural resources. Offering an opportunity to view an active osprey nest provides a unique educational experience to the public and is a testament to LNWC’s commitment to achieving the organization’s vision - to protect and enhance the natural resources and wildlife habitats of the greater Lake Norman area, for all to enjoy.
