Chris Paradise is Professor and current chair of the Biology Department at Davidson College. He is also Professor of Environmental Studies. Chris teaches courses in introductory biology, entomology and ecology. He is co-author of an introductory biology text that engages students with fundamental concepts and the process of science. His research interests are in the dynamics and biodiversity of insect communities, the factors that affect insect diversity, and how different teaching techniques affect student learning. He is currently studying the effects of light pollution on insect abundance and diversity.
